Madsen Opal was established in 1982. We specialize in Australian black and boulder opals. In 1983, we started exporting to Europe and in 1984 expand exportation to Japan and Hong Kong. In 2005, we started up a new Boulder mining operation at South of Winton that produces some of finest Boulder Opals in Queensland. Through the frequent trips to Japan, Madsen Opals Pty Ltd has become known as one of the best in the Opal Industry. Erik Madsen, Managing Director of Madsen Opals is still striving to achieve further development in the Opal market.
