Paterson Fine Jewellery was originally established in 1935 by Keith Armour Paterson as K. A. Paterson Pty Ltd specialising in Opal castings and creole jewellery. It started out as a small Australian owned family business based in Melbourne.Keith retired in 1972 and his son Ross Paterson took over the reins. The business was renamed to Paterson Fine Jewellery. Ross ambitiously grew the business by expanding the product range and growing the retail network Australia wide. He created the labels FIREGEM™ to showcase the Opal range and ‘LITTLE GYPSY™’ for creole jewellery. The popularity of FIREGEM™ and LITTLE GYPSY™ grew considerably and was underpinned by quality, uniqueness and affordability.Following Ross's retirement, his son David Paterson has continued to expand the business across Australia and New Zealand. New brands such as MY LITTLE ANGELS™ and CLASSIFIED™ were created to showcase the children's jewellery and Cubic Zirconia ranges. As a well-established Australian wholesaler and manufacturer, Paterson now offers a wide range of classic, traditional and on-trend jewellery for ladies, gents and children.
